2. RESEARCH – Papers are presented by 2, 3, or 4 participants in a chaired panel. Sessions are concurrent and duration is 1.5 hrs with 20 minutes, maximum, allotted to each presentation including Question & Answer with the audience.

3. SHOWCASE – Panels of co-presenters who self-organize as an affinity group showcasing their institutions, projects, models, etc. Duration is 1.5 hours following the approximate 20-minute format per individual.

Working Session

Open Space Technology (OST) is an approach to organizing purposeful interaction in a meeting or conference. In Open Space meetings, events and organizations, participants create and manage their own agenda and form working groups around a central strategic theme or problem.

Convene or lend your expertise and insights in a dynamic afternoon of work groups, study and inquiry circles, discussions and working sessions. Are there some best practices, case studies, challenges or solutions you want to share? What do you still want to ask or explore with each other after participating in the more formal sessions and presentations? What has not come up in this conference that you feel is vital to our mutual understanding for the future of global education? Experience ‘Open Space Technology’ - a model for knowledge sharing, interdisciplinary, intercultural thinking and task work used around the world and in a diversity of settings and cultures.

Roundtables

Moderated small panel discussion by global educators, business persons, government officials, and NGO administrators will speak on thematic topics.
