Middlebury College

Founded in 1800, Middlebury is one the country’s top liberal arts colleges. It offers its students a broad curriculum, embracing the arts, humanities, literature, foreign languages, social sciences, and natural sciences. Middlebury’s undergraduate college is enriched by an array of programs: the Bread Loaf School of English, which offers a rich array of graduate courses; the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, which brings together 200 authors and aspiring authors each summer; the summer Language Schools, which immerse students in the study of ten languages; and the C.V. Monterey Institute of International Studies

The Monterey Institute of International Studies, an affiliate of Middlebury College, is a private graduate institution located in Monterey, California. The Institute is internationally recognized for its graduate-degree programs in international policy studies, translation and interpretation, language and linguistics, and international business. Sixty countries are represented among the Institute’s approximately 800 students, adding to its international reputation.

The Salzburg Global Seminar is a leading institution that challenges current and future leaders to develop creative ideas for solving global problems. As an independent, non-profit organization, the Salzburg Global Seminar convenes imaginative thinkers from different cultures and professions to develop strategies for change. It organizes problem-focused initiatives, supports leadership development, and engages opinion-makers through active communication networks all in partnership with leading institutions from around the world and across different sectors of society. Founded by three Harvard students in 1947, the Salzburg Global Seminar has been working to solve global problems for sixty years.
